What you’ll build
A live, interactive web app that takes minimal input from a website visitor (a URL, a short form, a file upload), runs it through AI, and delivers personalized feedback or a score, turning casual visitors into leads by offering instant value instead of a static PDF.
Time commitment
- Quick version (this guide): 2–3 hours
- Full version (see original post): 4–8 hours including testing and refinement cycles
What you need
- ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro account
- Lovable account (free tier works — lovable.dev)
- A one-sentence description of your business and who you serve
- One core problem your audience faces that you could demonstrate solving in 60 seconds
The build (minimum viable version)
Step 1: Pick your concept — 20 minutes
Decide what your AI lead magnet will do. Think: what’s the one thing customers come to you for, and how could you demo that value using just a URL or a short form?
Quick version: Don’t brainstorm 10 ideas. Pick the most obvious one — the thing you explain on every sales call.
- If you’re an SEO agency, it’s a site audit.
- If you’re a copywriter, it’s headline feedback. If you’re a consultant, it’s a gap analysis. Go with your gut.
Step 2: Get ChatGPT to write your Lovable instructions — 30 minutes
Open ChatGPT and tell it: “Act as my CTO. I want to build an AI lead magnet that does [YOUR CONCEPT]. A user inputs [THEIR INPUT] and gets [YOUR OUTPUT]. Write me instructions I can paste into Lovable to build this as a web app.”
Then add your company info so the outputs reflect your brand, not generic advice.
Quick version: Don’t have a long back-and-forth. Give ChatGPT one prompt with your concept, your audience, and your differentiator. Ask it to write the Lovable instructions in one shot. You can refine later.
Step 3: Build it in Lovable — 60 minutes
Paste ChatGPT’s instructions into Lovable’s chatbox. Add: “Include a form where users enter [INPUT].
After they click ‘Analyze,’ show a score and 3 personalized recommendations. At the bottom, include a CTA to book a free consultation.”
Preview, click through it yourself, and fix anything that looks wrong.
Quick version: Don’t try to make it perfect. Get the basic flow working: input, output, CTA. Ignore design polish. If Lovable’s output has issues, describe what’s wrong specifically: “For input X, the output says Y, but it should say Z because of A, B, C.”
You’re done when…
- You have a working URL you can share
- A visitor can enter one piece of information and get personalized output in under 30 seconds
- The output ends with a clear next step (book a call, enter your email for the full report)
- The recommendations reflect your brand and approach, not generic AI advice
Go deeper
When you’re ready for the full version:
- Add “Not enough data” responses instead of letting the AI guess on bad inputs
- Force the model to show its reasoning (how it arrived at scores or recommendations)
- Test with 5 real users and refine based on where they drop off
- Set up a monthly review cadence — update training data, catch repetitive outputs
- Feed anonymized past outputs back into the model so it learns what “great” looks like
