As with all new technologies, things that seemed daunting and unapproachable quickly become familiar comforts we wonder how we ever lived without. To get to exponential value from AI we must first get over the discomfort of starting from zero know-how. The people who push past that are the ones already winning at ROI from AI.”

Analysis

What the numbers actually mean.

Using AI at work doesn't just build skill. It builds belief.

77% of marketers say the more they use AI professionally, the more confident they feel in their output. Confidence isn't a prerequisite for starting, it's a byproduct of doing.

Daily use has nearly doubled in a year, and confidence is following.

60% of marketers now use AI tools daily, up from 37% in 2024, according to Social Media Examiner's 2025 AI Marketing Industry Report. Our data shows why: the more marketers use AI at work, the more confident they feel. Familiarity is the mechanism, and daily repetition is what drives it.

The fastest path to confident AI users is simply more use.

704 marketers in our survey strongly or somewhat agreed that workplace AI use builds confidence, while only 66 disagreed. For teams still waiting until they feel ready, the data suggests they'll only feel ready after they've already begun.
